It was the first structure in Wilson County placed on the National Register of Places. In 2012, the building housed the Wilson Arts , right BB&T s corporate headquarters building in Winston-Salem, , right Bryan Larsen s Our Best Days are Ahead painting, which was used on the cover of the 2008 BB&T Annual Review, was the inspiration for this BB&T Lighthouse painting.
2 Created in 2009, Larsen s Lighthouse painting symbolized the strength, stability and dependable beacon of light BB&T Corporation portrayed during the height of the to all those who helped make this tenth edition of the BB&T History Book possible.
