Raffle tickets are available from this Sunday and do take some to sell to friends and family. A list for donations of money and prizes are on the board at the back of church. As ever we will need bottles for the tombola, toys, fancy goods and jewellery.

4 Could everyone please bring a bottle (with something in it) to mass next Sunday for the tombola in particular. Thank you CHRISTMASS CARD SHOPPING! The High Street card shops are full of Christmas cards but it is very difficult to find cards that reflect the true meaning of Christmass. Check our Piety Stalls for a selection of good quality religious cards CJM GIG! As advent creeps up upon us you might like to get into the Advent spirit by joining CJM at their Prepare the Way Concert at St Brigid s in Northfield on 7th December 8pm. See the flyers at the back of our churches for more details. RED WEDNESDAY If you are travelling past St Rose around Wednesday evening look out for the red lighting theme.

5 Red Wednesday is an international day seeking to highlight the plight of Christians who are persecuted for their faith. Churches and Cathedrals across the world will be illuminated red. Just this week in the Central African Republic 42 Catholics were killed in an attack on the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Alindao. There has been no press coverage of this whatsoever. BLESSING OF THE GRAVES Quinton 25th November 2pm This Monday, 26th November, at 4 , mass will be offered in the QE hospital chapel for those among the faithful departed who have been patients, members of staff or volunteers at the QE Hospital. This will be followed by a Holy Hour, , in the chapel, to pray for the Holy Souls.

6 CAFOD WORLD GIFTS We have this year been bombarded with catalogues for the above. Do please take one today CONTINUING THIS WEEK This week on Wednesday night the course Knowing God even better continues. All are invited to come along. It doesn t even matter if you cannot make every session. The meetings start around 8pm. STARTING 4TH DECEMBER In Advent we will as the above course closes be running the course Let it be. This is an exploration of the importance of Our lady . There will be a Tuesday evening mass at St Rose at 7pm followed by an opportunity to watch a well-produced series of videos. There is also an accompanying book, copies are now available at 5.

7 Please make every use of both these courses as we commit to spiritual and parish renewal in the run up to our consecration next year. JOURNEY IN FAITH ALPHA Just a reminder that we will meet this week again at St Rose although we are hoping to gravitate to another one of the participant churches at some point before Christmass CHRISTMASS ON YOUR OWN THIS YEAR? If anybody would be interested in either helping at (in the true meaning of the season) or would benefit from a pleasant Christmass lunch with company please see Fr Gary as this is something we might offer this year on Christmass day as a parish YOUTH SUNDAY This weekend is Youth Sunday. Firstly at St Peter s we welcome all sacramental candidates who will be invited to meet their prayer partners.

8 Thank you for those who have offered to pray. Secondly, at every mass, youngsters who worship with us each week have been asked to say a little about their experience as young Christians. Thank you to them all.
