Bids are invited from eligible Publisher, Supplier and Importers of MEDICAL Books & Journals for supply of Books & Journals (Both Indian & Foreign) to Government MEDICAL COLLEGE & hospital , (District Head Quarter hospital ) balasore - 756001 , Odisha.

Interested Bidders can download the bid document containing detailed terms & conditions, scope and eligibility criteria from the official website: The cost of the bid document, ,000/- (Rupees one thousand) only (non-refundable) shouldl be submitted along with the bid in the form of Demand Draft/ Pay Order from any Nationalized/ Scheduled Bank in India in favour of Dean & Principal, Government MEDICAL COLLEGE and hospital , balasore , payable at balasore . 3. The bids by eligible Bidders should reach the Office of the undersigned within due date and time ( 2-00 of ) in the prescribed format and manner. All bids must be accompanied by a Refundable Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) @ 1% of the quoted value rounded to the nearest 100 Rupees in shape of a Bank Draft/Bank Guarantee from any Scheduled Bank in India (valid for 60 days from last date of Tender) in favour of the Dean & Principal, Government MEDICAL COLLEGE and hospital , balasore , payable at balasore , (In addition to cost of bid).

Delivery Sites is the Library, Government MEDICAL COLLEGE & hospital , balasore (Near Remuna), Odisha. It is the responsibility of the supplier to see that the Journals are delivered in time. The purchaser would not be responsible for any postal loss. 5. The bidding document is to be downloaded from the website 2. 4 3. The last date of receipt of bids is 2-00 of , through registered post/ speed post/ courier service. Bids received after due date and time shall be rejected. 4. The list of Books & Journals are Specified in ANNEXURE I & II respectively. 5. The latest edition of books are to be supplied. Free CD/ gift etc. supplied by the publisher must accompany the Books & Journals. 6. The cost of Books & Journals (for both Indian & Foreign/International) must be in Indian Currency & include Import duty if any, shipping & delivery charge. The Rate quoted must clearly indicate Publisher price, Discounted price & tax/ handling charge applicable if any. This should be valid for a period of 1 year from date of issue of Order. 7. In case of foreign publication Books & Journals, the rate of conversion of foreign currencies to Indian currency should be according to the recommendation of Good Office Committee (GOC) of the Federation of Publishers & Booksellers Associations of India.

5 8. The Books are to be supplied within 30 days of placing order. The Journals are to be supplied within 30 days of publication. 9. The tenders would be opened in the office of the undersigned (District Head Quarter hospital , balasore ) at 4-00 on The tenderer or their authorized representatives may remain present during the opening of the tenders. 10. The authority reserves the right to accept/reject any/all bids in part or full without assigning any reason thereof. Page 4 of 20 11. The Authority has the right to increase or decrease the quantity of Books and Journals or totally drop any title as per fund availability & requirement. 12. Payment for Books would be made only after the same are recorded in stock.

6 13. Payment would be made as per delivery. 14. If the supplier fails to supply at least 90% of the order, then the EMD would be forfeited & the firm would be black listed for 2 years. 15. Advance payment up to 90% of price for Journals can be made in advance against Bank Guarantee. Rest 10% will be made after successful completion of supply. 16. For payment of Journals the Supplier has to furnish an irrevocable unconditional Bank Guarantee for the full cost of the Journals, from any Scheduled Bank in India, valid up to 60 days from the expected date of delivery of last issue, within 15 days of issue of Purchase Order. 17. The Bank Guarantee would be released after all the Journals are received. If any journal is not received, then double the cost would be recovered from the supplier.

7 However partial release, up to 75% may be allowed on satisfactory performance & delivery of Journals costing more than the said amount. 18. If any manufacturing / printing / binding defect is detected afterward within one year, even after stamping, then the same are to be replaced by the supplier. 19. Any dispute arising in future is subject to the judiciary restriction of balasore town. 20.
