3 Color-Keyed dies are designed to produce a circumferential,hex- or diamond-shaped compression rather than a simpleindent. Precision dies are an integral part of the Thomas & Bettsmethod. Each die is designed so that all conductors receive the sameamount of compression force. The circumferential compressioncreates a large area of high pressure contact between cable andconnector which, in turn, assures high conductivity, lowresistance, and high pullout values which exceed features result in a permanent, low installed costconnection.
