Section Repeal of Ordinance The Paradise Township Land Use Ordinance, as amended, is he reby repealed effective coincident with the effective date of this Ordinance. Section Purpose The primary purpose of this Ordinanc e s hall be: To pr omote the use and conserva tion of the lands and resources of the Township in conformity with their character and adaptability; To ensure that use o f the land shall be situated in appropriate locations and relationships; To create safe and de sirable conditions for living, economic pr ogress, recreation, and other activities in the T ownship; To preve nt the overcrowding of land and congestion of transportation systems and other public facilities.

9 To facilitate the pr ovision of ade quate systems of transportation, fire pr otection, ene rgy, waste disposal, water supplies, education, recreation, and other public service and facility requirements; and To promote public health, safety, a nd welfare. Section Scope No structure, or pa rt thereof , shall he reafter be erected, constructed, renovated, or alte red and maintained, and no ne w use or cha nge of use shall be made or maintained of any structure or land, or part thereof, except in confor mity with the provisions of this Ordinance. Section Interpretation The interpretation and application of the pr ovisions of this Ordinanc e shall be he ld to be minimum requirements necessary for the pr omotion of the public health, morals, safety, 2 comfort, convenience, or general welfare.

10 This Ordinance is not intended to repeal, abr ogate, annul, or in any way impair or interfere with any existing pr ovision of law or or dinance or with any rul es, regulations, or permits previously adopted or issued or
