Forming (writing) the past tense: For most Verbs , just add ed . plaster plastered paint painted If a verb only has one syllable and ends [consonant vowel consonant], you normally double the final consonant and add ed . chat chatted stop stopped If a verb ends [consonant y], change the y to an I and add ed . carry carried supply supplied Task 2: Write the past tense of each verb .

Task 3: In each sentence circle the past participle that is used as an adjective. 1. I ordered a mixed grill and was served two sausages, a burger and a small steak with chips. 2.
