This educational triad is provided so students have the opportunity to integrate comprehensive history taking, the nursing process, therapeutic communication, PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT knowledge and psychomotor skills into the quality care of human beings.

2 Within a holistic framework, students learn how to systematically collect, analyze, synthesize and document subjective and objective findings. The context of human development through the lifecycle, professional utilization of interviewing techniques, therapeutic and effective communication, interpersonal skills, health literacy, and ethnic/cultural values and beliefs are integral elements of the course content. Emphasis is placed on interpretation of data for the purpose of differentiating normal findings, including aging, from variations from normal and recognizing actual and potential health problems. The problem-oriented system for organizing and recording data is applied. Course Objectives: At the end of this course, students will: 1.
