The Budget Session was originally planned to be held in two parts: from February 23 to March 16 and April 25 to May 13. However, at the end of March, the government decided to convert these into two separate sessions in order to enable the issuance of an Ordinance. The dates were not changed. A new list of planned business was also announced just before the second part. For the purpose of this report, we are taking the data of the two sessions together. We are also combining the agenda announced at the beginning of each phase to arrive at the planned list of business.

Both Houses discussed the Railway and General Budget. Rajya Sabha discussed the working of two ministries out of the scheduled four ministries. Lok Sabha discussed demands for grants of six ministries accounting for 1% of the total budget. Lok Sabha worked for 121% of the scheduled hours and Rajya Sabha for 91%.
