1 PLEASE read CAREFULLY You will need to purchase a Shoshone and Arapaho Tribal Permit and a Recreation Stamp if you will be departing from the following Shoshone National Forest-Popo Agie Wilderness trailheads: Smith Lake/North Fork Trail Trailhead (Dickinson Park) Bears Ears Trailhead (Dickinson Park) Or anywhere out of Dickinson Park if you travel to Dickinson Park in a vehicle. You have several permit options, however most people will choose a daily permit. You will need a permit for the specific date(s) you will be traveling across Tribal lands to the USFS-Shoshone National Forest Trailheads. This means you will need one for your entry date and one for your exit date PLUS one Recreation stamp, for each person in the vehicle.
