1 Public NOTICE PASSAGE OF THE Public procurement ( amendment ) ACT 2016, ACT 914 The General Public is hereby informed that the Public procurement ( amendment ) Act 2016, Act 914 has been duly passed amending Sections of the existing Public procurement Act, 2003, Act 663. Highlights of the new provisions include: Revised Approval Thresholds; Re-Constitution of Entity Tender Committees; Dissolution of District and Ministerial Tender Review Boards; Categorization of Entity Tender Committees ; Revised Thresholds for procurement Methods; Introduction of New procurement Structures for Local Government Agencies; The Act becomes operational, with effect from Friday, 1st July, 2016.

2 Please note that the Act 914 will be used alongside the Public procurement Act 2003, Act 663. The Public procurement Authority will communicate detailed implementation arrangements to respective institutions in due course. In addition, the Authority will be conducting a series of stakeholder engagements such as its upcoming Public Forum to further discuss the implementation of these amendments.
