MANIFESTING THE LIFE OF JESUS IN OUR DAILY WALKWe are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ (Ephesians 4:14-15 nasb). PRAYER CALENDARJULY // 2018 1 Heavenly Father, admitting how easy it is for us to be tossed about in life by believing deceitful men and the wrong doctrines they teach, we ask You to please protect us and help us become more like Jesus by covering us with the truth of Your Word (Ephesians 4:14-15).
2 Almighty God, please help me and the members of my church family to walk by the Spirit today and to honor both You and Jesus by no longer carrying out the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).3 Father, acknowledging that we as believers have been called to freedom from the Law, please help us not to turn our freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love to serve each other in the name of Jesus (Galatians 5:13).4 Almighty Father, knowing that You have fixed a day in which You will judge the world in righteousness, please prepare us for that holy hour by bringing revival and spiritual awakening to the United States of America (Acts 17:31).
5 Heavenly Father, just as Jesus walked in perfect love, please help me and my entire church family to love You with all our heart, soul, and mind and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39).6 Father, please help my church s staff and mem-bership clearly reflect the heart of Jesus by not becoming boastful, challenging or envying each other (Galatians 5:26).7 Holy Father, please deliver my church family from the temptation to be angry with each other. Help us to so abide in Jesus that outbursts of anger completely dis-appear from our daily encounters (Galatians 5:19-20).8 Almighty God, please help the men of my church fam-ily become united in spirit by lifting up holy hands in PRAYER together instead of engaging in angry discussions that lead to further discord and division (1 Timothy 2:8).
9 Father, knowing how the various ways we think and live can greatly influence others, please protect us from sensual thoughts and from actions that can malign Your way of truth (2 Peter 2:2).10 Heavenly Father, knowing that selfishness can lead to disorder and every evil thing, please protect my church family by delivering us today from any type of jealousy and selfish ambition (James 3:16).11 Father, as we remember those in Scripture who through faith and patience inherited Your glorious promises, please help us today to practice diligence in our walk with Jesus and to keep our eyes fixed by faith on the One who leads us forward into Your glory (Hebrews 6:11-12).
12 Father, please help my church family to not let kind-ness and truth leave us, but to bind these qualities around our necks and write them on the tablets of our hearts (Proverbs 3:3).13 Heavenly Father, please help us as believers to set Christ apart as Lord in our hearts, and with gentle-ness and reverence always be ready to respond to anyone who asks us to explain the hope we have in You (1 Peter 3:15).14 Father, knowing there are people in many com-munities who try to entrap others in witchcraft, divination, and sorcery, we ask You to please expose these individuals, nullify their dark influ-ences, and remove their presence from today s culture (Deuteronomy 18:10; 2 Chronicles 33:6).
15 Almighty God, please help the church in America dis-cern the difference between man s fleshly desires and the ways of the Spirit. Help us to walk in Your power and to experience victory over sin (Galatians 5:17).16 Father, please help us as Your children to abstain from sexual immorality and to pursue moral purity in all of our relationships (1 Thessalonians 4:3).17 Heavenly Father, we ask you to help Christians in America learn how to put on the Lord Jesus Christ and to consistently make no provision for the lusts of our flesh (Romans 13:14).18 Father, we know from Your Word that in the last days, many individuals will lack self-control.
Please help the men and women of my church family to die daily to self-ish desires and to walk under the controlling influence of the Spirit of Christ (2 Timothy 3:1-3).19 Father, knowing that Jesus pronounced woe to the scribes and Pharisees because they tithed mint and dill and cumin but neglected justice and mercy and faithfulness, please help today s church turn away from legalism and walk in obedience to Christ s com-mands (Matthew 23:23).20 Father, with so many people struggling and falling into depression and spiritual darkness, please help Your children who are facing the same pressures of life to continually reflect Your brilliant glory and be continu-ally filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit (Acts 13:52).
21 Almighty God, Your Word teaches us that the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace (Romans 8:6). In this world of turmoil, please help us experience Your victorious peace by teaching us how to set our minds on the things of the Spirit of Holy God, please deliver me and my Christian friends from impure thoughts and actions. Help us realize that we have not been called for the purpose of impurity but to live sanctified lives for Your glory (1 Thessalonians 4:7).23 Heavenly Father, understanding that idolatry can be defined as extreme admiration, love, or reverence for something or someone other than You, please help us run from idolatry by reserving our first and foremost love for You, the one true God (1 Corinthians 10:14).
24 Father, in the American church today, we see that many who claim to be Your children have allowed animosity to develop against others. Please help us not to oppose or become hostile to You or to each other, but to daily experience the unifying love of Christ (James 4:4).25 Father, please protect my church family from individuals who have a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words. Protect us from people who spread strife and evil suspicions (1 Timothy 6:4).26 Almighty Father, please help the leaders of my church family avoid foolish controversies and disputes, espe-cially since You tell us in Your Word that these negative actions are unprofitable and worthless (Titus 3:9).
27 Almighty God, please protect my church family from people who sinfully use their words and actions to divide church families into factions (Titus 3:10-11).28 Father, even as Jesus out of concern for His disciples warned them to be on guard against sin, please help my closest Christian friends to not be weighed down with drunkenness or worries (Luke 21:34). Help them instead to walk in Your Glorious God, please empower the Christians in my com-munity to behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensual-ity, not in strife and jealousy (Romans 13:13).
