Prevention of Workplace Harassment , Sexual Harassment and Abuse of Authority Initiative UNESCAP. ASD/HRMS/SDTU. Bangkok introduction I/II. In 2005, the Secretary-General has launched a system-wide, self-administered learning programme entitled Prevention of Workplace Harassment , Sexual Harassment and abuse of authority . His objective is to strengthen the accountability in the Secretariat and to raise awareness of all staff of their roles and responsibilities for creating and maintaining a Workplace free of Harassment , Sexual Harassment and abuse of authority. Consequently in July 2006, the Executive Secretary of UNESCAP asked all staff members including temporary staff to complete the on-line programme, as it is mandatory for all UN staff world-wide (please refer to the memo attached).

2 Please follow the link to complete the Prevention of Workplace Harassment , Sexual Harassment and abuse of authority programme: or :8080/ Your log-in name is your index number and the required password is the same as the password for e-PAS. If you are a new staff member, it might take two weeks until you are able to login, because it takes this time to record your data in the integrated management information system (IMIS). Please complete the training programme at your earliest convenience and submit either a copy of the printed certificate to HRMS/SDTU or send a pdf-copy to so that we can add it to your official status file.

3 If you have completed the course already, but have not yet submitted your certificate, then please do submit the certificate as soon as possible. Previously a few staff members encountered problems with the log-in. Please note that if you do not have an e-Pas password, then you have to register as a new user to create a log-in (see the field First time user? ). If you are a not a staff member, please use the Non-staff Login Page (see lower part of the webpage). The following slides explain the login and registration process. They illustrate also how to start the on-line programme. Please make sure that you follow the instructions provided at the beginning of the programme. Please note: No access key required to complete the programme.
