1 Price History Tables and Charts USA China Western Europe World Export Hot-rolled Band Cold-rolled Coil Standard Plate rebar Steel Scrap Register at: 1 Western European and World Export HRB Price Approach 2009 Lows China up USA, Western Europe and World Export down , and SteelBenchmarkerTM Report #307 ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ The bi-monthly SteelBenchmarkerTM Chinese HRB Price for January 30th was up at $467 after being previously unchanged for two consecutive reports. The United States HRB Price declined to $764 per tonne for the eleventh consecutive time. The Western European HRB Price decreased to $573 per tonne (on a Euro basis, it was down ) for the second consecutive time. The World Export HRB Price decreased to $498 per tonne after increasing in the prior report. In its three hundred seventh report, the SteelBenchmarkerTM released 10 steel products and 3 USA scrap prices.

2 Of these, here are four benchmark prices for hot-rolled band for January 3016, 2019: USA $764 per metric tonne ($693 per net ton), FOB the mill down $42 per tonne from $806 ($731 nt) two weeks ago, up $352 from the recent low of $412 ($374 nt) on Dec. 14, 2015 and up $335 from the low of $429 per tonne ($390 nt) on May 25, 2009. It is down $242 per tonne from the recent high of $1,006 ($912 nt) on Jul. 11, 2018 and down $439 ( ) from the record peak of $1,203 per tonne ($1,091 nt) on July 28, 2008. China $467 per metric tonne, ex-works up $6 from $461 two weeks ago, up $236 per tonne from the recent low of $231 on Dec. 14, 2015 and up $60 per tonne from the low of $407 per tonne on Oct. 12, 2009. It is down $170 per tonne from the recent high of $637 on Aug. 22, 2011 and down $266 ( ) from the record peak of $733 per tonne on July 14, 2008.

3 Western Europe $548 ( 478) per metric tonne, ex-works down $25 from $573 ( 499) two weeks ago (down 22 on a Euro basis), up $202 (up 152) from the low of $346 ( 325) on Nov. 23, 2015 and down $23 (up 97) from the low of $571 ( 381) per tonne on Nov. 23, 2009. It is down $304 ( 127) per tonne from the recent high of $852 ( 605) on Mar. 28, 2011 and down $656 ( ) ( 278) ( ) from the record peak of $1,204 ( 756) per tonne on July 14, 2008. World Export Price $498 per metric tonne, FOB the port of export down $5 from $503 two weeks ago, up $226 per tonne from the recent low of $272 on Feb. 8, 2016 and up $2 from the low of $496 per tonne on Nov. 9, 2009.
