The World Export HRB Price increased to $630 per tonne for the fourth consecutive time. The Western Europe HRB Price decreased to $701 per tonne (on a Euro basis, it decreased ) after rising five consecutive times. The Chinese HRB Price decreased to $538 per tonne after two consecutive times.

2 In its two hundred eighty sixth report, the SteelBenchmarkerTM released 11 steel products and 3 USA scrap prices. Of these, here are four benchmark prices for hot-rolled band for March 11, 2018: USA $894 per metric tonne ($811 per net ton), FOB the mill up $56 per tonne from $838 ($760 nt) two weeks ago, up $482 from the recent low of $412 ($374 nt) on Dec. 14, 2015 and up $465 from the low of $429 per tonne ($390 nt) on May 25, 2009. It is down $76 per tonne from the recent high of $970 ($880/nt) on Mar. 28, 2011 and down $309 ( ) from the record peak of $1,203 per tonne ($1,091 nt) on July 28, 2008. China $538 per metric tonne, ex-works down $18 per tonne from $556 two weeks ago, up $307 per tonne from the recent low of $231 on Dec. 14, 2015 and up $131 per tonne from the low of $407 per tonne on Oct.

Western Europe $701 ( 566) per metric tonne, ex-works down $1 per tonne from $702 ( 570) two weeks ago (down 4 on a Euro basis), up $355 (up 241) from the recent low of $346 ( 325) on Nov. 23, 2015 and up $130 (up 185) from the low of $571 ( 381) per tonne on Nov. 23, 2009. It is down $151 ( 39) per tonne from the recent high of $852 ( 605) on Mar. 28, 2011 and down $503 ( ) ( 190) ( ) from the record peak of $1,204 ( 756) per tonne on July 14, 2008. World Export Price $630 per metric tonne, FOB the port of export up $13 per tonne from $617 two weeks ago, up $358 per tonne from the recent low of $272 on Feb.
