Training Boating Essentials Due to dramatic CPS boating course changes, we had only five students this year thus we changed our venue from the Civic Centre to the McInnis Building on Quebec Street. The number of students was small but enthusiastic, which made it encouraging for the Instructors and Proctors. The following have written and passed the exam and became members of our Squadron . Welcome aboard to Steve Peterson, Troy Hirvi, Jason &. Jeannie Garland. One student has yet to write the exam due to work commitments.

7 Maritime Radio The following students have successfully completed the CPS Maritime Radio course: Steve Peterson, Troy Hirvi, Jason & Jeanne Garland, Kevin Gunning, Peter O'Mally, Kimberly Lentz and Albyn Makin. One student has yet to write the exam, due to work commitments. Due to extenuating circumstances, the Yukon Squadron is no more. The Prince George Squadron took the initiative to invite their members to join our Squadron , or join any other Squadron of their choice, if they wish. This would enable them to still be CPS members and keep all their membership benefits. To date, 35 former members of the Yukon Squadron have transferred to the Prince George Squadron .

8 Some have written appreciation notes to us to say they were very happy to be given the opportunity to join our Squadron . WELCOME ABOARD to everyone; it is a pleasure to have you as part of our Prince George Squadron ! Thanks to Peter Bagan from Whitehorse who has offered to be our Port Captain in the Whitehorse/Skagway/Alaska Highway area. If our new members from the Yukon have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact any of our Bridge members as listed on Page 2. We are here to help you and support you in any way!
