1 1052 size 70 diaphragm RotaryActuatorFisher 1052 size 70 spring return diaphragm rotaryactuators operate splined shaft rotary valves, such as8580, 8532, 8590, CV500, V500, and Vee Ballt(V150, V200 and V300) valves. 1052 actuators aresuitable for on off service or for throttling Actuator is designed for easy installation of abroad range of options: limit switches, positionindicating switches, positioners, and manualover rides. Option applicability varies with actuatorsize. Refer to the specifications table and table 4 forinformation concerning option applicability Application Flexibility-- 1052 rotary actuators areavailable with fail open or fail close constructionand can be mounted in any of four Actuator valvemounting positions. See figure 5 for mountingpositions. These actuators can be mounted on abroad range of Fisher valves or used with Minimal Dead Band-- Single joint linkage withsplined and clamped lever minimizes lost motionand improves control Long Service Life-- Rugged construction providesstability, corrosion resistance, and protection fromdeformation should over pressurization Fisher 1052 Actuator with Vee Ball Valve andFIELDVUE DVC6200 Digital Valve Controllern Safety-- The 1052 Actuator has an externallyaccessible spring adjuster to relieve springcompression (see figure 1).
2 Actuator valve linkageis completely enclosed, yet the valve packingadjustment remains accessible without removingany parts (see figure 2).1052 ActuatorD104082X012 Product :1052 September 20171052 ActuatorD104082X012 Product :1052 September 2017 2 SpecificationsAvailable ConfigurationsFor on off service without a positioner or forthrottling services with or without a positionerDirect Acting: Increasing loading pressure extendsthe diaphragm rod out of the spring barrelActuator Sizes70 Standard diaphragm Pressure RangesJ0 to bar (0 to 33 psig), J0 to bar (0 to 40psig), and J0 to bar (0 to 55 psig)Maximum diaphragm Sizing Pressure(1) bar (55 psig)Maximum diaphragm Casing Pressure(5) bar (65 psig)Nominal Valve Shaft RotationJ90 degrees (standard), J60 degrees (optional), orJ75 degrees (optional)Valve Shaft Diameters, mm (Inches) (1 1/4), (1 1/2), (1 3/4), or (2)Maximum Breakout Torque(2)Up to 1370 NSm (12,100 lbfSin)Stroking TimeDependent on rotation, spring rate, initial springcompression, supply pressure, and size of supplypiping.

4 Nitrile O rings are used in the optional top mounted handwheel and in the optional up and down travel stop For higher temperature ratings, contact your Emerson sales office or Local Business This maximum casing pressure is not to be used for normal operating pressure. Its purpose is to allow for typical regulator supply settings and/or relief valve Mounted Handwheel: For infrequent use as amanual Actuator or for use as an adjustable up travelstop (see figure 4). For repeated or daily manualoperation, the unit should be equipped with adeclutchable handwheel Handwheel Actuator : A side mountedmanual Actuator can be used to provide on site controland to provide override capabilities. See :1078 (D101339X012) for handwheel Switches: Micro Switch or NAMCO switches forone or two single pole, double throw contacts. Under some service conditions, the 1052actuator may be used successfully in theseapplications without a positioner. For additionalinformation, contact your Emerson sales office or LocalBusiness Partner with complete service Down Travel Stop: Used to limit theactuator stroke in the downward direction (see figure 3).Adjustable Up Travel Stop: Used to limit the actuatorstroke in the upward direction (see figure 3). Actuator Locking Mechanism: An Actuator lockingmechanism is available. It can be used to keep theactuator in a locked position (the same as thespring fail position) during maintenance. The padlockis customer supplied, and the mechanism requires amodified Actuator Away Vent: Some applications use natural gas orother hazardous gases as a supply pressure to theactuator.
6 These applications sometimes require theactuator housing to be vented, reducing theaccumulation of gases.
