Meets requirements of Minnesota Insulation Standards ProgramThermal PerformanceStated R-value is achieved by installing the minimum required number of bags per 1,000 net sq. ft. at a thickness not less than the label minimum thickness and minimum sq. ft. weight. Failure by the installer to provide both the required number of bags and at least the minimum thickness will result in lower insulation insulation varies in thermal performance due to factors such as mean temperature, settlement, convection, moisture absorption and installation variation. Convection in fi ber glass loosefi ll insulation installed in open attics can reduce its thermal performance at extreme winter temperatures during the heating season. AttiCat PINK FIBERGLAS Insulation has been designed to anticipate this phenomenon and the labeled R-value refl ects the average performance over the winter heating season.

The dollar impact to a homeowner s annual heating cost from loosefi ll convection is estimated to be minimal, if any, when compared to labeled Specifi cationsOwens Corning does not recommend or approve blending or adding additional materials or adhesives to this Product during installation. Owens Corning will accept no responsibility or liability when the Product is not installed in accordance with the Product label and installation instructions. Owens Corning recommends and provides instructions for installing AttiCat PINK FIBERGLAS Insulation from the outside of exterior sidewalls. You may also install it from the inside, however, it is important to note that drill and fi ll installation from the inside requires a strong working knowledge of construction and framing principles, texture matching and other variables.

Please consult a professional contractor to perform this job, if you do not have this expertise.*This standard is used to measure and describe the response of materials, products, or assemblies to heat and fl ame under controlled conditions, but does not by itself incorporate all factors required for fi re-hazard or fi re-risk assessment of the materials, products, or assemblies under actual fi re conditions. However, the results of these tests may be used as elements of a fi re risk assessment that takes into account all of the factors per tinent to an assessment of the fi re hazard of a par ticular end use. 5 Net Coverage, Sq. Weight/Sq. Ft. Minimum Thickness, inchesMinimum Settled Thickness, Inches Data SheetAttiCat Expanding Blown-inPINK FIBERGLAS InsulationFire Hazard:To prevent fi re or overheating of recessed light fi xtures or similar electrical devices, do not inuslate on top of or within 3 inches of such devices unless they are specifi cally approved to be covered by insulation. Do not place insulation in air spaces surrounding metal fl ues, chimneys, or fi replaces. Provide minimum clearances specifi ed in NFPA-31, NFPA-54, or NFPA-211, or as required by local building codes. In Canada, maintain building, electrical, gas and oil safety code required clearances between the insulation and heat emitting devices, such as fuel burning appliances, chimneys, pipes, ducts and vents to these appliances (at least 50 mm) and recessed light fi xtures (at least 75 mm).

Fiberglass and Mold:As manufactured, fi berglass insulation is resistant to mold growth. However, mold growth can occur on building materials, including insulation, when it becomes contaminated with organic material and when water is present. To avoid mold growth on fi berglass insulation, remove any water that has accumulated and correct or repair the source of that water as soon as possible. Insulation that has become wet should be inspected for evidence of residual moisture and contamination, and any insulation that is contaminated should be promptly removed and Corning INSULATING SYSTEMS, LLCONE Owens Corning PARKWAYTOLEDO, OHIO 436591-800-GET-PINK No. 10011273-D. 8 Nothing contained in this bulletin shall be considered a Aislamiento expansible para soplarHoja de datos del productoEl aislamiento expansible para soplar AttiCat est dise ado para ser aplicado en ticos de casas nuevas y El aislamiento para soplar expansible AttiCat se fabrica cumpliendo con los requisitos de la norma ASTM C764 Tipo I (aplicaci n neum tica).
