1 Product data SheetFD2710R2000 series addressable reflective beam detector 50 - 100mGeneralThe FD2705R and FD2710R provides an integral, loop poweredanalogue addressable reflective beam detector up to 100mdistance. ConfigurationThe FD2705R and FD2710R consist of an infrared transmitterand receiver in one single compact housing. The infrared signalis reflected by a prism and analysed for smoke presence. It isparticularly designed to be use where point smoke detectors arenot practical due to height or FD27xxR series units are loop powered for connection to1200/2000 series fire panels. They use the Aritech 2000 seriesprotocol. Installer friendlyWiring is restricted to a minimum as the transmitter and receiverare in the same housing. The detector is very easily aligned bymeans of checking the alignment LEDs.

2 Easy alignmentensures optimum operation, both electrically and unit is easily tested using the graduated obscuration testcard low power consumption of the units allows multiple beamsto be powered on the same loop without compromising thesystem's autonomy. Reducing false alarmsVarious alarm thresholds may be selected from to suit theenvironment. If the signal reduces to below the selectedthreshold and is present for 10 seconds, a fire condition issignalled. If the infrared beam is obscured rapidly to a level of90 % or greater for 10 seconds, a fault condition is detector monitors long term degradation of signal strengthcaused by component ageing or build up of dirt on opticalsurfaces.
