The additional week is mandatory and it is only applicable for fathers of citizen children born from 1st January 2017 onwards. For more details, please refer to: Granting Additional Week of paternity Leave paternity Leave Based on Combination of Weeks and Days Leave Entitlement Based On: Number of Weeks For Citizens, Exact Number Of Days For Non-Citizens (Citizen entitlement is by Weeks and the Non-Citizen entitlement is by Days) 1.

2 Go to Setup > Leave Entitlement > paternity Leave 2. Update this newly introduced setting: Note: With the newly introduced setting activated Upon Leave application, System will cap the limit of paternity Leave to 1 week if the child is born before 1st Jan 2017. 3. Increase the entitlement for Citizen: 4. Save the setup then perform Leave Processing for the change to take effect. Update this newly introduced setting (assuming Employees are on 5 Days Work Week): Note: With the newly introduced setting activated Upon Leave application, System will cap the limit of paternity Leave to 5 working days if the child is born before 1st Jan 2017.

Update this newly introduced setting: Note: With the newly introduced setting activated Upon Leave application, System will cap the limit of paternity Leave to 7 calendar days if the child is born before 1st Jan 2017.
