2 Using a Phillips screwdriv-er tap out the plastic film from thethree holes on the bottom of each two 1/4-20 x 2 long bolts andtwo acorn nuts fasten the extensionboots to the ladder legsSlide (4) four of the swing up treadsover the ladder legs as the (2) two extension boots overthe ends of the ladder legs. They willneed to be all the way on if the outside dimension is 52" and backedoff one hole if the outside dimension is 54". boots are not required ifthe outside height of your pool(measured from the ground to thetop of the pool ledge) is 48" or this measurement is more than48" extension boots will a Phillips screwdrivertap out the plastic film from the tophole on each side of the 8100X-11-13_Confer 6100_12-05_R1 11/22/13 9:15 AM Page the the swing up assembly from theladder legs and set (2) two handrails up through the bot-tom of the platform using the openings nextto the round tabs. Leave the flat ends of thehandrails the assembly up on edge and placethe tread connector over the square ends onthe (4) four treads.

3 The large oval hole onthe tread connector must be on the sameend as the flat side on the ladder a rubber mallet tap the tread connec-tor onto the square ends of the treads untilthey are firmly seated. A little liquid soap onthe tread end will assembly over and repeat step 7 toattach the second tread the flat end of the ladder leg onto the flatend of the handrail. Insert one of the - 20 x 1 bolt through the ladder leg into the handrail. Placeone of the - 20 hex nuts into the recessed areaon the handrail and tighten using a Phillips screwdriver. Install the second nut and the second ladder leg to the handrailby repeating step # the ladder up, using a rubber mallet tap theplatform down until seated on the lugs on the ladderleg. IT WILL REQUIRE SEVERAL HARD BLOWSWITH A RUBBER MALLET TO SEAT THE PLAT-FORM ALL THE WAY DOWN ONTO the standard tread to the bottom ofthe ladder as the (2) two adjustable tube handrails upthrough the bottom of platform until seated onthe the oval openings on the swing upassembly (from step #9) over the two roundtabs on the platform.

4 Using a rubber mallettap down on the tread connector until seat-ed over the round tab. It may require sev-eral hard hits with a rubber mallet to gettread connector over round a #10 x 1-1/4 screw fasten theupper ends of the handrails together asshown. Always haveadult supervision when poolis in use. Always swing upoutside treads and lock whenpool is not in the asssembled tube/block assembly up into the open end of theadjustable tube handrail as is now ready to attach to ConferPlastics In-Pool the step in location place your 8100x ladder over thepool wall. Depending on the outside height of swimmingpool ledge extension boots can be removed or slid up ordown until the ladder platform is resting on top of theswimming pool top ledge.

5 If necessary remove or add soilto raise or lower ladder. The 8100x ladder platform mustrest on top of the swimming pool ledge for support. the ladder in place and platform resting on pool ledgeextend the adjustable tubes down until the mountingblocks are resting on the top tread of pool step. Next movethe ladder in or out to position the platform mounting holesto the outside [away from pool wall] top of pool ladder must be attached to swimming pool the two positions on to the top ledge. Move the ladderaway, check to make sure the hole locations are clear ofpool wall and supports and drill two 5/16 holes through thetop ledge. Fasten the ladder platform to the top ledge usingtwo -20 x 2-1/4 bolts, flat washers and -20 hex to attach the two step deck a cordless drill/driver attach the two mountingblocks to the pool step using eight [8] #10 x 1-1/4 screws.
