Theoil passes through the in-line low watt densityheater/s where the oil is heated to an optimumtemperature of 66 C (150 F).The oil then enters the distillation column where it isexposed to the vacuum through the use of dedicateddispersal elements. This increases the exposedsurface area of the oil and converts the water toa vapor form, which is then drawn through thecondenser by the vacuum pump. This water isusually seen as cloudy oil or puddles of waterat the bottom of an oil reservoir. Water which isabsorbed into the oil is called dissolved higher temperatures, oil has the ability to holdmore water in the dissolved stage due to theexpansion of oil molecules. As the oil cools, thisability reverses and free water will appear wherenot visible before.
