2 The back ply is com-pounded Hypalon elastomer compounded in black forincreased performance. Burke Hypalon may be applied witheither side exposed to the weather. The black Hypalon bottomply is laminated to the white top ply, encapsulating a polyesterreinforcing scrim for optimum strength. Welding solu-tions of the same compound or heat seaming techniques areused to assure a homogeneous construction throughout thecomplete roofing : All components of the roofing system must be rec-ommended or approved by Burkeline. The following are general installation procedures for allapplication techniques:Surface Preparation: The existing roof surface should beinspected prior to installation, and any conditions that couldinhibit the proper functioning of the Burkeline Hypalon roofingmembrane should be corrected before installation begins.
