(max. 100 words) RBC Aboriginal Student Awards Program Application , 2015 Page 8 of 8 HOW AWARD RECIPIENTS ARE SELECTED A selection committee of Aboriginal academics and RBC representatives reviews all applications and makes the final selection of the award recipients, primarily based on personal and academic achievements and individual financial need.

8 Successful applicants are notified of the selection committee s decision by May 30 of each year. All decisions of the selection committee are final. Only completed Application packages will be presented to the selection committee. 9 It is not necessary to enclose proof of your acceptance to university or college at this time. However, if awarded a scholarship, you would be required to do so by July 31. If you are unable to confirm your acceptance by July 31, RBC reserves the right to disqualify you for that academic year and select another scholarship recipient. 10 Successful applicants are notified of the committee s decision by May 30 of each year. All decisions of the selection committee are final. You will receive up to $4,000 per academic year for educational and living expenses for two to four years. To receive the full amount for all years of study, you must attend an accredited post-secondary institution, remain in the Program of study under which the scholarship was awarded and maintain a full time status and good academic standing. RBC requests confirmation of your full course load and good academic standing at the beginning of every fall and winter semester. Confirmation must be in a format satisfactory to RBC. You will receive the first half of your scholarship at the beginning of the fall semester. If you maintain good academic standing, you will receive the balance of the scholarship in January.
