Transcription of Real ID Notice - Kansas Department of Revenue
1 Notice !! Effective August 1, 2017, the State of Kansas will be completing the final piece of real ID compliance. State of Kansas residents will have the option or a real ID card with the star (below left), or a Non- real ID card with the language Not for Federal ID (below right). Kansas Residents will be able to use both forms of the DL/ID below and current DL/ID with no identifier until October 1, 2020 in airports and federal facilities. KS Dept of Revenue is starting this now to allow Kansas Residents time before the October 1, 2020 deadline. To receive a license with the star please bring a valid US Passport or Birth Certificate and proof of Social Security. If your name is not the same on all your documents, you will need to provide the document proving your legal name change. Completely compliant with real ID act Not a real ID compliant credential but and able to use at airports and federal valid for federal use until 10/01/2020.
