He is responsible for the company s Engineering team; Boeing Research & Technology, the company s central research and development organization; and Boeing Test & Evaluation, which verifies and validates the company s commercial and defense the leader of Boeing s Engineering team, Hyslop oversees more than 50,000 engineers worldwide and plays a key role in decisions that influence the technical integrity of Boeing products, services and processes.

3 He is a member of the company s executive council and reports to Boeing Chairman, President and CEO Dennis joined the McDonnell Douglas Astronautics Co., now part of Boeing, in 1982 as a guidance and control engineer and has worked in a variety of projects, including cruise missile programs; as vice president and general manager of Boeing Strategic Missile & Defense Systems; and as vice president and general manager of Boeing Research & Technology. He is a member of the Aeronautics Committee of the NASA Advisory Council, is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the AIAA Foundation.

4 He earned a doctor of science degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Engineering & Applied Science in systems science & mathematics, as well as a bachelor s in electrical engineering and a master s in mathematics from the University of Nebraska, for which he serves on the university s Engineering College Advisory Board.
