No changes will occur to Recycling until July of next year. Residents are encouraged to continue Recycling all appropriate items. The City is exploring a number of options that will enable residents to continue to recycle past July 1, either at the curbside or in another manner.

3 Our goal is to encourage Recycling while reducing costs and improving the quality of the materials collected. Information on future Recycling options will be coming early in the new year. We ll post updates on the City s website or you can text ChesUpdates to 888-777 to receive texts when updates are available. PAPER BAGS GLASS JARS AND BOTTLES TIN OR STEEL CANS CARDBOARD FLATTEN BOXES FIRST TELEPHONE BOOKS JUNK MAIL ENVELOPES PLASTIC WINDOWED ONES ARE O K AY MAGAZINES AND CATALOGS NEWSPAPERS AND INSERTS OFFICE PAPER AND FILE FOLDERS PLASTIC BOTTLES #1 AND #2 (WITH A SPOUT) CEREAL BOXES PAPER TOWEL AND TOILET PAPER ROLLS FOOD & BEVERAGE CARTONS, (ORANGE JUICE, ALMOND MILK, BOXED SOUP CONTAINERS) RECYCLE THIS!

4 GARBAGE STYROFROAM ELECTRONICS FOOD WASTE YARD WASTE LIGHT BULBS CERAMICS AND DISHES PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS MOTOR OIL CONTAINERS WINDOW GLASS AND MIRRORS CLOTHING AND FABRICS CLOTHES HANGERS RIGID PLASTIC, SUCH AS TOYS PIZZA BOXES (DUE TO GREASE) PAPER OR PLASTIC DISPOSABLE CUPS HAZARDOUS WASTE CONTAINERS NOT THIS! ELECTRONICS: Your local Goodwill accepts a variety of items for resale or responsible disposal. PLASTIC BAGS: Most grocery stores have bins by the entrance where you can recycle plastic bags. HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE: SPSA accepts household hazardous waste on the first Wednesday and third Saturday of every month from 9 to noon at the SPSA Greenbrier Transfer Station, 901 Hollowell Ln.
