Registrations received after May 1 will require a $25 processing fee. Our Mission. Camden Catholic High School is a suburban, college preparatory, day and boarding school. Summer 2018 Camps & Programs Forensic Science: July 9 19 Students interested in forensic science and exploration should sign up for this two-week camp. Students will engage in various hands on experiences during the week including fingerprinting, examining evidence and crime scene investigation.
2 Mon Thurs, 9 12:30 Cost $350. Grades 5-9. Scientist for a Day: July 23-26 This camp is designed for students who want to explore science topics they couldn't get enough of during school! Spend a week with us exploring what scientists do through hands-on activities like dissecting, launching rockets, making bouncing balls, and more! All materials provided, Mon Thurs, 9 12:30 Cost $250. Grades 5-9. Writing and Presentation Skills: July 9 12 Students interested in learning the best presentation and writing skills for school should sign up for this two week workshop. Students will work with a high school teacher on different types of school presentation tips as well as the best way to present writing assignments. Students will complete an original presentation by the end of their session. Mon Thurs, 9 12:00 noon. Cost $250.
3 Grades 5-9. Algebra II Skills (2-week camp): July 16-26 Students entering Algebra II in September should participate in this program as they will receive instruction and guided practice while completing their Summer packet. By the end of this course, students will be well prepared for the test on the Summer packet material during the first week of school. Mon Thurs, 9 12:30 Cost $250. Study Skills: July 16 26 This two-week camp is designed to help students build confidence and independence in their studies. Students will learn the skills needed to be successful in school including note taking, organization, and planning. Students will learn about their own learning strengths and how to develop these strengths to be successful in the classroom. Mon Thurs, 9 12:00 noon. Cost $250. Grades 7-9. High School Placement Test Session 1: July 16 19 Session 2: July 23 26 Students will spend one week learning the basics of the High School Placement Test in preparation for the test in the fall.
4 Students will learn about the structure of the test and complete practice problems as well as grammar reviews and writing samples to prepare. Practice materials included. Mon Thurs, 9 12:30 Cost $150. Ent. Gr. 8. High School Transition: July 16 26 This two-week experience is designed for the incoming high school freshman. High school teachers will go over time management, note taking, organization, and study skills. High school is a big transition for every student. We ll provide information to help make the transition less stressful. Mon Thurs, 9 12:00 noon. Cost $250. Entering Grade 9. Fighting Irish athletic programs are renowned throughout the state and region! A select number of our teams host Summer camps each year. Our athletic facilities include the legendary Tom Kenney Gymnasium and beautiful turf facility on Shamrock Field.

6 Students will spend three weeks engaging in the basics of dramatic performance including the following: theater skills such as character, interpretation, vocal production, and stage presence, as well as choreography, costuming, make-up, and other aspects of theatrical production. On the final day of class, students will perform in a theatrical presentation. Mon-Thurs, 9 :30 Cost: $450. Grades 3 8. Theatre Tech Camp: July 9-26 This course is designed for students who love to work behind the scenes. Students will learn and implement lighting, sound, and set design as they prepare to tech our production of The Little Mermaid Junior . Mon-Thurs, 9am-12:30 pm Cost: $450 Grades 6-8. High School Theatre Ensemble: July 9-26 This Summer course challenges the student-actor to use their skills in experiencing the Theatre Arts through theory and application.
7 Dramatic exercises, improvisation and warm-ups will lay the foundation for strengthening sound acting technique. The camp will conclude with a Broadway Review and Theatrical Showcase. 9 :30 Cost $450. Grades 8-12. Instrumental Music: July 9- 26 Students will study with our uniquely talented faculty to develop a practice plan that will support them as a musician. Students will benefit from group instruction so they can play as part of an ensemble. The final day of camp will be a small recital for family and friends. Students may sign up for one, two or three weeks of camp. We recommend the three week camp program for developing as a musician as part of an ensemble. Mon-Thurs, 9 :30 Cost: $150 per week. Grades 5 8. Expressive Drawing & Painting: July 9 July 26 This course covers the mechanics of drawing and painting.
8 Students will develop skills in dry and wet media. Supplies are included. Mon-Thurs, 9 - 12:00 noon. Cost $450. Grades 5 8. Digital Art: July 9- 26 Students will learn the basics of working on state of the art iMac computers in addition to producing original artwork using the same programs the professionals use including Adobe Illustrator to create various works of art and design the t-shirt for the Summer Play! *Students must have a 2- 4GB flash drive for class every day.
