9 2 CORRESPONDENCE COURSE PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS 1. GENERAL PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS Participants of correspondence courses must be at least 16 years old. 2. COURSE PARTICIPATION/COURSE ADMISSION Participants who are not yet of age must be registered by their legal guardian. Adult participants shall register themselves. REGISTRATION shall occur by the submission of the REGISTRATION form, completed and signed in the appropriate places by the participant, by post. The participant must state the course/s in which s/he would like to participate on the REGISTRATION form. Receipt of the REGISTRATION shall be confirmed to the participant. Provisional admission to a correspondence course shall be granted based on the details on the REGISTRATION form. After checking whether the details on the REGISTRATION form comply with the required language skills specified in the brochure or on the Internet, final admission to a correspondence course shall be granted.

10 The participation shall receive notification of this at the same time as the invoice (clause 4). The participant s receipt of the confirmation of admission shall mark the point at which the agreement between the Goethe-Institut and the participant becomes binding. For group courses, the agreement shall become binding on condition that the minimum number of participants specified in point 3 has been GROUP CLASS SIZESFor all correspondence courses that are offered for groups, the minimum number of participants shall be eight and the maximum number fifteen, as long as no other figures are given in the brochure or on the Internet. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the course shall not take place. The course groups shall be randomly assigned.
