Removing Digital Certificates - ADP Canada

1 Removing Digital Certificates All ADP web products use Digital Certificates to ensure that only authorized users are granted access. Once your certificate renews, any expired Certificates need to be deleted to prevent problems logging in. This document explains how to view and delete ADP Canada Certificates that have expired. Step 1 Viewing your Certificates Certificates are accessed through the browser menu. To view the Certificates dialog box: 1. On the browser Menu bar, select Tools > Internet Options.

2 The Internet Options dialog box opens. 2. On the Internet Options dialog box, select the Content tab. The screen changes to display a related list of options. 3. On the Content tab, click the Certificates button. The Certificates dialog box opens to the Personal tab by default and displays a list of registered Certificates . Step 2 Deleting old Certificates Each certificate has a date that identifies when the certificate will expire. Keep only the ADP Canada certificate you were just issued and delete all other Certificates issued by ADP Canada .

3 To delete an old certificate : 1. On the Personal tab of the Certificates dialog box, review and identify all Certificates issued by ADP Canada that are expired or set to expire within 30 days. These Certificates need to be deleted. Tip: You can change the order that the dates appear in by clicking on the Expiration Date column heading to switch between ascending and descending order. 2. For each certificate issued by ADP Canada , click on the name then select the Remove button. A dialog box appears.

4 3. On the dialog box, click the Yes button to delete the certificate . The certificate is deleted. When you are finished, there should be only one certificate issued by ADP Canada which will have an expiry date of next year. 4. On the Certificates dialog box, click the Close button to exit. Internet Options returns. 5. On the Internet Options dialog box, click the OK button. The dialog box closes.
