RENEP C RANGE A RANGE of versatile slideway and adhesive lube oils Description The RENEP C RANGE is specially designed to meet the exacting lubricant requirements of modern machine tool slideways. The products provide maximum protection against wear and corrosion with excellent adhesion to the slideways even under the most difficult working conditions. The RENEP C RANGE is also ideally suited for use with rock drills and pneumatic tools where the internal air temperature may be very low due to air expansion, the special formulation enables the lubricant to flow freely. Special additives are incorporated which combine with the water vapour inherent in pneumatic tools to form a protective coating on the working surfaces, giving excellent protection against corrosion.
Application The RENEP C RANGE are specifically formulated for use as machine tool slideway lubricants. The products within the RANGE can also be used as circulatory oils, pneumatic tool lubricants, rock drill oils, general purpose lubricants and chain oils, depending upon specific manufacturer s requirements. These products have also been successfully used for wire rope and guide rail lubrication, depending on viscosity. Advantages/Benefits Excellent lubricity under high pressure working conditions Anti-wear additives to maximise machine tool life Lubricates and flows freely even at very low temperatures Wide RANGE of viscosities available to suit most applications Specifications ISO 6743 Part 4 Type HG January 2007 GDUK Page 1 of 2 Health, Safety and Environment - information is provided for products in the relevant Safety Data Sheet.

No warranty expressed or implied is given concerning the accuracy of the information or the suitability of the products Application (cont) High film strength and anti-wear additives enable the RENEP C RANGE of oils to maintain an excellent oil film under the most arduous of working conditions.
Even in high pressure applications such as sliding vane air motors, the film is maintained, ensuring maximum operating efficiency and prolonged working life. In addition the RENEP C RANGE may be used as gear lubricants, the choice of grade being dependant upon the type of equipment, operating conditions and viscosity requirements. RENEP C68 is also suitable for light/medium duty general machining and light duty pressing and forming operations. RENEP C68 is also suitable for light duty presswork on carbon alloy steels, aluminium and yellow metals as well as light gauge aluminium rod, wire and tube drawing. Application for these uses is usually by full flood, drip, brush or swab though the product can be sprayed with suitable equipment.
RENEP C100 (Rock Drill Applications) Owing to air expansion in pneumatic tools, the temperature inside the tool may be appreciably below that of the surroundings. RENEP C100 is formulated to enable it to flow freely through air line lubricators or integral oilers at the low temperatures which may be encountered. A second characteristic of expanding air is that the relative humidity increases with decreasing temperature, and unless the air has been specially dried, water vapour will condense out on working surfaces of the pneumatic tool. RENEP C100 is formulated with special emulsifying and tackiness additives which enable the oil to combine with water and adhere to the working surfaces, affording excellent protection against corrosion.
The high film strength and anti-wear additives contained in RENEP C100 also enable it to withstand the high pressures in sliding-vane air motors and to maintain an oil film between all moving parts. In all applications, the importance of choosing the correct viscosity oil is emphasised to ensure maximum operating efficiency of equipment.
