2 Indian passport holders who have acquired foreign Citizenship are required to Surrender their Indian passports to the nearest India passport & Visa Services centre immediately after acquisition of foreign Citizenship . The Government of India has fixed the fee for renouncing the Indian Citizenship / Surrender of Indian passport and has prescribed certain penalties for not renouncing Indian Citizenship / Surrender of Indian passport . Section B: Documents Required You Staff Surrender of Indian passport application form dully filled and signed by the applicant. If your Indian passport is lost and not in your possession, submit a Statutory Declaration attested by a Justice of Peace with details for the passport not being in your possession.

In case they do not have the Indian passports in their possession for any reason (loss/misplacement/submission to Department of Immigration and Citizenship a long time back, etc.), they are required to provide statutory declaration in this regard and pay the fees.

5 All applications for Renunciation / Surrender of Indian passports are to be made at the respective VFS. offices at Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.
