When resources have been developed with NIH funds and the associated research findings published or provided to NIH, it is important that the results be made readily available fo r research purpo ses to qualified individu als within the scient ific community. Reviewer Information Reviewers will comment on whether the Resource Sharing Plans listed below, or the rationale fo r not Sharing the following types of resources, are reasonable Unless spe cified otherwise in the Funding Opp ortunity Announcement, consideration of these Plans should not af fect the overall impact score For more inform at ion, visit the NIH Shari ng Polic ies and Re lated Guidance on NIH Funded Research Resources Data Shari ng plan A Data Sharing plan or an exp lanation of why data Sharing is not fe as ible is exp ected to be included in all applications where the gener ation of da ta is ant icipated and direct costs of $500.

2 000 or more in any year of the proposed research is requested Certain Funding Opp or tunity Announcements may request a data Sharing plan fo r all app lications regardless of the amount of direct costs Reviewers should as sess the reasonabl eness of the da ta Sharing plan or the rationale for not Sharing research da ta (see Da ta Sharing Guidance) Shari ng Model Organisms The sub mission of a mod el or ganism Sharing plan is NOT subj ect to a cost threshold of $500,000 or more in direct costs in any one year All NIH grant ap plications where the development of model or ganisms is anticipated are exp ected to includ e a descripti on of a specific plan fo r Sharing and distribu ting uniqu e model or ganism research resources gener ated us ing NIH funding or state why such Sharing is restricted or not possible Reviewers should assess the plan for Sharing model or ganisms or the rationale fo r why such Sharing is restricted or not possible (see Sharing Model Organisms) Genomic Data Sharing (GDS) App lications that involve the generation of large-scale human and/or non-human genomic data are expected to include a Genomic Data Sharing plan , regardless of the requested costs.
