Plan Schemes Completion Online submission of Quarterly returns of explosives by the explosives license holders Functions: The Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) is entrusted with the administration of powers delegated under Explosives Act, 1884 and Petroleum Act, 1934 and the following Rules framed under these Acts;. EXPLOSIVES ACT, 1884: a) Explosives Rules, 2008. b) Gas Cylinder Rules, 2004. c) Static & Mobile Pressure Vessels (Unfired) Rules, 1981. Regulation of the following hazardous premises, covered under the various rules administered by PESO mentioned above Explosives manufacturing factories. Explosives storage premises. Manufacture of Explosives at site in Bulk Mixing and Delivery [BMD] Vehicles. Authorisation of Explosives & Fireworks. Fireworks manufacturing factories. Fireworks store houses and shops. Gas Cylinder filling plants. Gas Cylinder / Valves / Regulators manufacturing units.

4 CNG filling stations Storage installations for compressed gases in pressure vessels. Auto LPG dispensing stations LPG bottling units. Petroleum storage installations & Petroleum storage sheds. Petroleum Refineries Petroleum tank lorries. Petroleum Service Stations Petroleum cross-country pipelines. Storage sheds for filled gas cylinders. Flame Proof Equipments. Calcium carbide storage premises OUR LIMITATIONS: The organization is highly under staffed for the responsibilities assigned under the Acts and Rules.
