3 You could feel the excitement in the air as many patrons entered the doors of the much-anticipated theatre in our downtown area. Louise Pitre was the first artist to perform on our stage and she moved the audience with such passion and emotion. Community unity through artistic diversity was the theme for the inaugural season and the lineup offered performances that celebrated the diversity of our multicultural here we are, celebrating the tenth anniversary during the ninth full season of the RICHMOND Hill CENTRE for the Performing Arts, the largest and finest performing arts facility in York Region. In the past ten years, international artists such as Shirley MacLaine, Boyz II Men, Art Garfunkel, Olivia Newton-John and many more have graced our stage. We have seen shows that made the audiences laugh, cry and come back for more! And we are proud of the work done to ensure many special Canadian artists have also graced our year, we have lined up Serena Ryder, Erth s Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure, Just for Laughs Roadshow and many others.

As you peruse the information in the following pages, take a moment and think about how a production makes it to the stage at your RICHMOND Hill CENTRE for the Performing Arts. Think about when the idea for the show was first conceived and how many hands went into the making of the art we are privileged to present each season for you, our valued patron. Each performance, every production, had a starting point where it all RICHMOND Hill, the official starting point was the groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, October 5, 2006, although the development of the performing arts CENTRE began years prior to the turning of soil on that beautiful fall afternoon.
5 Many hands were involved in bringing the building to life and when the theatre first turned on its lights for an audience on February 28, 2009, who then could have imagined the number of hands that crossed our threshold to make the countless performances work for is indeed our privilege to present our 2018/2019 season for your consideration. We believe it is a season worthy of our community. It is a season that celebrates your community and your country. It is a season that welcomes all residents, of all ages. It is a season that celebrates the 10th anniversary of opening night.
