Roberta Andrews Roberta Andrews passed away peacefully Oct. 28, 2018. She was born April 1919 in Rockport, the daughter of Robert John Nutt and Amy Geneva (Parker) Nutt. She grew up in West Rockport and wintered with her family in West Palm Beach, Fla. Her father was a prominent maitre d' in grand hotels in Florida and Maine. Roberta loved the warm weather and large cosmopolitan school in Florida, much more than the 2-room elementary school in West Rockport and Rockport High School she attended. Roberta attended Nasson College in Springvale and a business school in West Palm Beach, Fla. She married Lonzo Martin in 1939 in Florida, where daughter Patricia Ann was born. Divorcing a few years later, she and Pat moved to Augusta. She worked for CMP before moving to Camden, where she worked for her brother-in-law in the office of Packard Lumber Company. She married Sidney Andrews in 1950 and had a daughter, Debbie. She worked for many years as head teller at Depositors Trust Company in Camden and balanced the daily books so quickly that everyone was able to leave work earlier than ever before.

2 Roberta and Sid retired to Palm Springs, Fla. in the 1980s. Sid died in 1997, and in 2004 she moved to Savannah, Ga. to be near her oldest daughter, Pat. In 2011, to be near her younger daughter, she moved to Portland, and later Scarborough. Roberta is remembered for being an extrovert, a flirt, and standing on her head at family gatherings until age 79. She climbed Mt. Kineo in sneakers at age 84 and Douglas Mt. at 85. She enjoyed yoga, tai chi, long walks, bridge, and reading Deepak Chopra and other philosophers. She often stated, "I'm an independent thinker." She loved ice cream, vegetables, the rare martini, and talking about financial matters, travel, and Florida. She was an excellent seamstress, cook, and homemaker. She was predeceased by her three sisters, Dorothy Packard Hull, Bernice Crockett, and Hazel Spear, and both her husbands. She is survived by daughter Patricia Martin Taska of Savannah, Ga. and grand-daughter Stacy Taska LaCombe and family of Jacksonville, Fla.

3 And by daughter Debra Andrews and her husband Stephen Bates of Cape Elizabeth and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to acknowledge the attentive care given by the Scarborough Terrace assisted living staff and her doctor Jane McNally, DO.
