Completing an application form does not necessarily mean that the learner has been accepted at the School . Please note that applicants enrolling for Grade 0 must turn 5 years of age by the 30th June 2018 and Grade 1 applicants must turn 6 before the 30th June 2018. Enrolment for Grade 1 must be done online through the Department of Education. The website to apply on is Opening date for Grade 1 online applications is 2nd May 2017 to 12th June 2017. Grade 2 to 7 applications opening date is 18th April 2017 and closes 19th May 2017 and must be submitted at the front office. The language of learning and teaching at Rosebank Primary is ENGLISH, therefore it is imperative that your child be able to speak and understand it.
2 A child that cannot speak English will not be admitted to the School . Please be aware that the First additional language (FAL) from Grade R to Grade 3 is Afrikaans and Zulu. Grade 4 to Grade 7 have a choice between Afrikaans and Zulu - this must please be indicated on the application. DOCUMENTATION The following documentation must be submitted with the completed application form. 1. Copy of official Birth Certificate. 2. Copy of official immunisation card, or proof confirming immunisation against polio, measles, tuberculosis, diphtheria, tetanus, and hepatitis B. 3. Latest School Report. 4. Copy of Parents or Guardians Identity Documents. 5. Proof of residential address, in parent s name, such as statements of Rates, Water and Lights, Telephone or store account, etc. or proof of work address should you work in the zoned area. 6. 3 Transfer card and final report. Parents/Guardians of other nationalities must submit the following additional documents. 1. Study permit in respect of learner. 2. Temporary or Permanent Residence Permit from the South African Department of Home Affairs, or evidence of application for such documentation. In order to ensure that your application has every chance of consideration, it is vital that you read through this form carefully, provide all of the information and certificates required, and return the application form as quickly as possible. If false information has been provided, the child will not be admitted to the School . If the child is admitted to the School under false pretences, the child will be asked to leave the School . If the required information is incorrect, incomplete, or documentation is missing, it will delay the processing and evaluation of the application.
4 ACCEPTANCE REQUIREMENTS - On acceptance of your child at Rosebank Primary School , you will be required to: Pay a learner activity fee which includes o Grade 0 (exercise books, chair bag, apron, book bag, tog bag, T-Shirt, photographs, excursions, ear & eye test, plastic book covers, photocopy paper, perceptual books) o Grade 1 to 7 (exercise books, plastic book covers, perceptual books, photographs, ear & eye test, photocopy paper, FAMSA grade 5 7. The learner activity fee is compulsory for admittance. If this is not paid, your child will not be accepted at the School . The amount will be communicated on acceptance. 2018 School Fees are estimated to be R16 000 for the year. (confirmation at AGM in OCTOBER 2017). The current School fees are R14 500 per annum. Rosebank Primary School is a state-aided Section 21 School and the payment of School fees is compulsory.)
