3 Thank you for your generosity! Solemn Exposi on Of the Blessed Sacrament Solemn Exposi on will be held on Friday, February 4th at 8:30 am-11:15 am following the morning Mass. This is a beau ful service and a wonderful way to hon-or the Eucharist. Parish Apprecia on Dance Friday, February 11th at 7 pm Sullivan Hall Band: Top Shelf Laissez les bon temps roulez! Bring your own food and drink along with your Mardi Gras beads, mask, and King Cake. It is free for parishioners but ckets are required. Tickets will be available a er Mass. MINISTRY HIGHLIGHTS: Parkinson s Exercise Class Exercise should be your Passion with Parkinson s, says GZ Sobol, founder of the Parkinson s Network as well as the class that emphasizes Big and Loud ex-ercises for those with Parkinson s disease.

4 It is known that vigorous exercise is the one thing that can slow the progression of Parkinson s. The class is designed to target 8 specific issues: rigidity, hand dexterity, postural stability, balance, cogni on, and gait and one more speech. Come and join the group every Monday and Thursday at 9:30am in the Ac vity Center. Meet a group of awesome leaders and very special Parkinson s pa- ents for fun, exercise, and fellowship. 8 Bible Study will be held on Wednesday, February 2nd, at 10:00 am in Bldg. C. It is held every other Wednesday. All are welcome! In Our TO BE A PROPHET Today s readings show us what it is like to be a prophet. As Jeremiah recounts his call, God warns him that he will need strength and perseverance to withstand the hos lity he will face from Judah s kings and princes and its priests and people (Jeremiah 1:18b). God also assures him that they will not prevail over you, for I am with you (1:19). The psalm reflects both of these strug-gles as well as deliverance from them ( salva on ). This is exactly what Jesus experiences in today s Gos-pel. A er he claims that his own mission is the same as what Isaiah proclaimed, at first the people marvel at his gracious words (Luke 4:22).

9 Soon, however, they be-come suspicious, skep cal, and hos le, even threatening to kill him.
