The Sacrament of Baptism Baptism is celebrated on dates that are mutually convenient for Father Nasta and the parents. Before a Baptism date can be set, parents should secure letters of eligibility for their recommended Godparents and present them to the rectory. Parents attendance at our Parish 's Pre-Jordan program should be satisfied before a Baptism date is set.
3 Parents are asked not to make any celebratory arrangements until a Baptism date is confirmed by our Rectory staff. The Sacrament of Confession Saturday afternoon: 3:15pm 3:45pm. By appointment at the rectory anytime. The Sacrament of Marriage Please speak to Father Nasta at least six months before your anticipated Wedding date. Couples should not make any celebratory arrangements until after they have met with Father at our Parish . The Sacrament of The Sick Please speak to Father Nasta if you or a family member wish to receive the Sacrament of the Sick. It is always appropriate to receive this Sacrament before surgery, during a serious illness or in the final stages of life. The Cardinal Foley Lecture Series, part of the Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary Lecture Series, is featuring Kim Daniels, a lead advisor to our na on s bishops and Catholic organiza ons where Church teachings intersect with public life, on Monday, January 28. Her topic is the Church and Social Communica ons. Pope Francis appointed Ms. Daniels in 2016 to the Va can Dicastery for Communica on. The Relic Pilgrimage of St. John Vianney s Incorrupt Heart is making its way to Philadelphia next weekend.
6 A solemn recep on of the relic will take place at 2 PM on Saturday, February 2 at the Cathedral-Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, 18th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19103. The relic will be on display for venera on at the cathedral on Saturday from 2 PM and 7 PM, except during the cathedral s regularly scheduled 5:15 PM Mass. The relic will also be available at the cathedral all day next Sunday, February 3, before and a er the Masses. 7 Over the past several years, recommenda ons from the Catholic Chari es Appeal Board have resulted in changes to the Appeal and contributed to its con nued success. The goal for the 2019 Catholic Chari es Appeal is $ With regards to Parish goals, your 2019 Catholic Chari es Appeal goal is $17,000. This goal has remained unchanged from your 2018 Parish goal.
