See installation instructionsshipped with the bracket for complete details before att empting to Freestanding Ranges:To check if the bracket is installed and engaged properly, removethe storage draw er or kick panel and look underneath the range to see that the lev eling leg is engaged in the bracket. On modelswithout a storage draw er or kick panel, car efully tip the rangeforward. The bracket should stop the range within cm (4 inches). If it does not, the bracket must be r einstalled. If the rangeis pulled from the wall for any r eason, alw ays r epeat this procedureto v erify the range is pr operly secur ed by the anti-tip bracket.

3 Nev er completely r emove the lev eling legs or the range will not be secur ed to the anti-tip device properly. 4 Do not let potholders touch hot sur face units or heating elements. Do notuse a tow el or other bulky cloth in place of pot er use your appliance for w arming or heating the r not touch the sur face units, the heating elements or the interior sur face of the oven. These sur faces may be hot enough to burn even though they are dark in and after use, do not touch, or let clothing or otherflammable materials contact the sur face units, areas nearbythe sur face units or any interior area of the oven; allowsufficient time for cooling first. Other sur faces of theappliance may become hot enough to cause hot sur faces include the cook top, areas facing the cook top, oven v ent opening, sur faces near the openingand crevices around the oven not heat unopened food containers.

If allow ed to heat beyond its smoking point, oil may ignite,resulting in fire that may spr ead to surr oundingcabinets. Use a deep fat thermometer wheneverpossible to monitor oil avoid oil spillover and fir e, use a minimumamount of oil when shallow pan-frying and avoidcooking frozen foods with excessive amounts of ice.

8 Use proper pan size select cookware having flatbottoms lar ge enough to cov er the sur face heatingelement.
