7 , Suite 200 Youngstown, OH 44503-1206330-797-5506llllllllllll7 Employer Services Drug-Free Safety ProgramTools to make your workplace saferThe Drug-Free Safety Program (DFSP) offers a premium rebate to eligible employers for implementing a loss prevention strategy addressing workplace use and misuse of alcohol and other drugs especially illegal drugs. We designed the DFSP to help employers more effectively prevent on-the-job injuries and illnesses by integrating drug-free efforts into their overall workplace Safety eligibility requirementso Must be a state-fund private or employer taxing discrict employero Current on premiums, assessments, penalties or monies otherwise due to any fund administered by BWC, including amounts due for retrospective ratingo Active coverage statuso No cumulative lapses in coverage in excess of 40 days within 12 months preceding the application deadlineHow the program worksThe DFSP has two program levels.

8 Eligible employers may elect to join either level of the level Participating employers are eligible for a 4-percent premium rebate by meeting all of the following program requirements:o Completion of an online Safety Management Self-Assessment (SH-26) within 30 days of the start of the policy year; o Online accident analysis reporting;o Accident analysis training for supervisors;o Employee education;o Supervisor skill-building training;o Alcohol and other drug testing;o Written DFSP policy;o Maintain and provide a list of community resources (as a minimum) for employees requesting assistance with substance level Participating employers are eligible for a 7-percent premium rebate if they satisfy all the basic level requirements listed above as well as:o Conduct annual 15-percent random drug testing;o Complete an online Safety Action Plan (DFSP-5) within 60 days of the start of the policy year;o Pre-establish a relationship with an employee assistance professional and refer employees who test positive for a substance assessment.

9 The employer must pay for the cost of these assessments;o Offer a second chance for employees testing compatibility Employers participating in the DFSP may participate in more than one BWC program. However, you may only combine certain programs in the program rebate calculation. Please refer to the program compatibility chart on the BWC website for current information regarding rebate to applyTo access detailed program information or to apply for the DFSP, visit Eligible private employers may enroll in the July 1 program year and must submit their application to BWC by the last business day in May. o Eligible public employers may only enroll in the Jan.

10 1 program year and must submit their application to BWC by the last business day in ohio Incentive ProgramThe Grow ohio Incentive Program helps spur job creation in the state by offering new employers one of the following premium discount The opportunity to join a group-experience-rating program and receive a premium discount potentially up to 53 percent effective on their first day of coverage. 2. An automatic 25-percent discount on their workers compensation premiums. The group-experience-rating optionGrow ohio gives your business the option to apply for group rating immediately and, upon acceptance, receive a premium discount possibly up to 53 percent, which is the current maximum allowable group you re interested in joining a group:o Select a sponsoring organization to place you into their group-rating program;o Make sure you ask sponsoring organizations about any fees for group participation; o Sponsoring organizations may charge employers for the additional Services and information they provide.
