T h i s r e g u l a t i o n p r o v i d e s f o r c eprotection guidance for commanders with anammunition or Explosives mission. It sets ex-plosives Safety standards to protect militaryand civilian army employees, the public, andthe environment. It is to be used with DAP a m 3 8 5 - 6 4 . I t i m p l e m e n t s D O D 6 0 5 5 . 9 STD. This regulation establishes the Depart-ment of the army Explosives Safety Council(DAESC). It also sets forth procedures fortransporting ammunition or Explosives overthe public This regulation applies to thea c t i v e A r m y , t h e A r m y N a t i o n a l G u a r d( A R N G ) , a n d t h e U.

I t a l s oapplies to owned ammunition and ex-plosives stored in or by a host r o p o n e n t a n d e x c e p t i o n a u t h o r i t y .The proponent of this regulation is the Chiefof Staff, army . The proponent has the au-thority to approve exceptions to this regula-tion that are consistent with controlling lawand regulation.
