The reading of the Passion Gospel is a sobering reminder of the consequences of sin, but also the redeeming love of God. As we journey through Holy Week, may we be strengthened to walk with Jesus to the Cross, so that we can also rise with him as we celebrate Easter. The Liturgies of Holy Week bring us to the center of our Catholic faith.

3 I encourage you to participate in these liturgies so that your faith can be deepened. We have a number of opportunities to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. At the Downtown church we will have the sacrament available on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 We will have confessions at Crane Road on Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 8:00 The Mass of the Lord s Supper will take place on Holy Thursday at 7:00 At this liturgy we commemorate the institution of the Holy Eucharist and the call of humble service through the ritual of the priest washing the feet of a number of parishioners. At the end of the liturgy, we process with the Blessed Sacrament to the Altar of Repose. Eucharistic adoration will take place until midnight.

4 On Good Friday, we walk with Jesus as he goes to the Cross. We have Services at 1:00 at the Down-town Church and 7:00 at Crane Road. At this liturgy, we have the reading of the Passion according to the Gospel of John, the veneration of the Cross, and the reception of Holy Communion. On Holy Saturday, we have the blessing of Easter food baskets at 10:00 at the Downtown church. The Easter Vigil Mass will take place on Holy Saturday at 7:00 This is the central liturgy of the whole liturgical year as we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus and celebrate the sacraments of initiation of those in the RCIA process and the Adult Con irmation program. We also have a Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil liturgy in Spanish at the Downtown church.

5 As we have done for many years, on Easter Sunday, we have added a Mass at Crane Road, so please note the adjusted Mass schedule. The Downtown Church has it s regular schedule on Easter Sunday. May the Lord bless you during this Holy Week! In Christ, Msgr.
