1 SCHEDULING A NONIMMIGRANT visa APPOINTMENT The United States welcomes travelers from around the world coming as temporary visitors or to study in accordance with our immigration laws. While Embassy Dhaka is committed to processing your visa application as quickly as possible, there may be occasions where the final visa issuance is delayed. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you schedule your APPOINTMENT through Saimon Overseas Ltd., our APPOINTMENT service provider, at least three months prior to your intended date of travel. To schedule an APPOINTMENT , you will require: 1. A passport valid for at least six months beyond the date you intend to depart the United States. 2. A fully completed DS-160 online NONIMMIGRANT visa application.

2 ( ). You must upload your photo to the DS-160. Please visit to know learn more the photo requirement. 3. An appropriate MRV fee receipt for your visa class and associated SCHEDULING fees. You may purchase your MRV fee receipt at either Standard Chartered Bank or Saimon Overseas. 4. A clear photocopy of your passport s bio-page (printed on an A4 sized paper) and an additional photo (as per requirement). 5. If you are unable to appear in person to drop-off/collect your application and passport, an authorized person may do so on your behalf. You must provide a signed authorization form . The signature on the authorization form has to exactly match the signature on the passport. The signed authorization form should include the name of the person authorized to drop-off/collect the passport, plus phone number and address of the person picking up the passport.

3 You should also provide a valid photo ID of authorized person ( valid passport, voter ID, etc.). To get the authorization form and instructions, please visit at 6. For H, L, R, P, Q, CW, T2/T3, U, and O applicants only, a copy of an approved I-797. 7. For F, M, and J (principal applicant only), a copy of SEVIS fee payment receipt. Please bear in mind that: Saimon Overseas does not accept any supporting documents at the time of APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING . These may be presented during your visa interview. Saimon Overseas will always schedule you on the next available APPOINTMENT date. Waiting times for appointments and visa processing times vary. Therefore, we recommend you schedule an APPOINTMENT three months prior to the date you intend to travel.

4 Saimon Overseas cannot approve an expedited/emergency APPOINTMENT , please review our policy available at If your family plans to apply together, only one person needs visit Saimon Overseas; however, all individuals applying must come to the Embassy for an interview. Each visa applicant MUST upload their photo through the online DS-160 application. If the confirmation page has an "X" in the box where the photo should be, Saimon Overseas will not allow you to make an APPOINTMENT . You must fill in true and complete information on your visa application form . Incomplete information may result in delaying your visa interview or re- SCHEDULING /postponing your visa interview for a later date. Remember that false or misleading statement may result in permanent visa ineligibility.

5 If you are unable to show-up on a particular date (no-show), you can reschedule APPOINTMENT through Saimon. However, you must reapply within 12 months of the application and MRV fee payment. Saimon will instruct you NOT to fill out another on-line visa application form DS-160. You MUST use the same DS-160 confirmation page that you originally used for your first time APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING .
