All personnel wanting to respond a POV shall maintain a current Virginia Drivers license. B. All Personnel responding to calls for service in POV shall abide by all Virginia Traffic Laws and Code. Should a Law Enforcement officer attempt to stop your vehicle, you must stop immediately (or as soon as safe to do so). Understand you may be cited as any other citizen.

2 C. Any member who observes another member driving in an unsafe manner, shall report that act to the OIC. D. Members who are under the influence of alcohol or medication that impairs their ability to operate vehicles and/or mechanical equipment SHALL NOT respond to calls for service. 2. Responding to calls for service A. Upon notification of a call for service personnel shall respond directly to the station, obeying all traffic laws, members may utilize a maximum number of 2 red or red/white flashing or alternating lights (unless otherwise stated in this policy), and no audible warning devices. Warning lights are considered a courtesy light, and does not give the responder right-of-way. B. The member may respond to the scene if their response route would take them by the incident scene or if responding to the station would be considered back-tracking or upon request by incident command for manpower to respond to the scene. 3. pov response Requirements A.

3 Responding members shall not respond to the incident scene with their minor children and leave the minor children unsupervised for any amount of time. EXCEPTION, if traveling and you come upon the emergency scene you can take action only as long as your participation does not place your minor child in any danger, and the minor child is not left unsupervised. No warning lights may be used with minor children in the POV. B. Responding members shall park their POV well away from the incident and in such a manner as to NOT block incoming emergency vehicles. Keep in mind that determining and supporting scene safety is your first consideration. C.
