There hard work andcommitment to na Service really showed. We have three positions up for election this month. Literature, Unity day Chair, and Activities Treasurer so please stay after the break if you are interested in one of these positions. Not much to report this month but i am excited to hear about how Seattle NAs first official use the of card readers worked out and am hoping that any knowledge or information gained at Unity day can be passed along. Vice Chair:Hi Family,I do not have a lot to report this month. I attended a PI panel this past month at Plymouth Housing in Seattle . I have to say that it was an awesome experience and definitely a learning , I want to thank Heidi and her Committee for putting on Unity Day.

The event was awesome and was well attended once again. So, thank you Heidi and everyone who helped her!!!Thank you for letting me be of Service ,Jake HRecording Secretary: No report. Assistant Recording Secretary: : See Treasurer Report Appendix B1. I have brought 24 physical copies of this SASC Treasurer Report and April financial statement for distribution. I will review the financial statement after I finish reading this report. As always, these reports will be posted to the website by our beloved web With regard to our initiative to have our Seattle International Narcotics Anonymous Convention (SINAC)routinely report their finances to this SASC, you will recall that we failed to come to an agreement.

There has been no activity on this matter from me this With regard to our initiative to have this SASC become capable to accept Payment Card (PC) payments, I am pleased to report that we were able to accept Payment Card payments for the first time atSeattle area Unity Day on April 16, 2016. Unfortunately I was not able to attend the event due to an out-of- State family obligation. Fortunately the Assistant Treasurer and I met with the Unity Day Committee a couple of weeks prior to the event for a training session. They successfully processed over $2,000 in payment card transactions. I understand there were some glitches due to internet connectivity.

I look forward to working with the Committee to improve our procedures and make this a routine part of our financial operations. We also have a few remaining issues to resolve regarding exactly how to handle the I will now review the financial thank you for allowing me to be of Service . I will now take your Treasurer: No Chair:Last month we sold $1, Our order was $1, At Unity Day we sold $ Please remember to preorder your etched coins. In Service , Gary Activities Chair: Awaiting Treasurer:Awaiting :No report. RCM 2:I attended the WNIRSC Apr 8 th and 9 th . No motions are coming back to the Areas from this session. Themain order of business was the 2016 World Service Conference groups from the Seattle area participated in the CAR motions this year.

We voted Yes (19-0- 2) on World Board motions 1 (Traditions Workbook) and 2 (18-2- 1) (15 on World Board, remove staggered terms if more than 8 elected, and 2 term limit for lifetime). We also voted Yes on Regional Motions 3 (mental illness pamphlet) (18-2- 1), motion 6 (11-8- 2) (World Board meetings open to public) and motion 11 (12-6- 3) (allow seating of Zonal Forum delegate as non-participating voting member). All the otherRegional motions were voted down by us. The19 participating Areas of the Washington/Northern Idaho Region also decisively voted Yes on World board Motions 1 and 2 by votes of 17-1- 1 for both, agreeing with our area .

Region also voted Yes on Motion 3 (mental illness) by vote of 16-3- 0 (with us), but voted No on Regional Motions 4 through 14, not upholding our Yes votes on 6 and 11. Motion 6 was 9-9- 1 (close) and Motion 11, 4-9- 6 (not so close). All other motions also voted down in agreement with us. In summary, our RD team voted Yes on Motions 1,2 and 3, and voted No on Motions 4 through 14. Reviewing our process, I felt that most of our GSRs did not get the benefit of any in depth discussion of the motions at the area level, except those few who attended the CAR Workshop held in January. I believe Steve and I should have pushed for time at the March ASC to have at least a 1 hour presentation of some of the pros and cons for the motions.

Many Regional motions on their face sound great, but whenwe are informed about some of the unintended consequences, we might feel differently. Steve and I mighthave erred on the side of keeping all our opinions out of the process at the expense of not making sure you GSRs were adequately informed. But I must admit that between our groups and the Region, somehow the process worked just fine. 10 Go to for you for letting me serveSINAC Liaison:Awaiting Chair:Awaiting Day 2016 Chair:Hello everyone,We had an amazing event. I want to thank all the commintee members for all their hard work. It was benifial to have the card reader and it brought in excess funds of $2,355 dollars which is not including the 3% charge from the bank. We had some serious challenges with the card reader it kept dropping the internet connection serveral times which caused us to not successfully take payments. Everytime it lost connection we had to unplug it and start from the beginning. Miranda was a huge help with this process she must of called customer Service about 10 times to try and troubleshoot the issue, which was not successful.
