1 Second Announcement We kindly invite you! The European Union for Medicine in Assurance and social security ( EUMASS ), the Dutch Association for Insurance Medicine (NVVG), the Dutch Association of Medical Advisors in Private Insurance (GAV) and the Scientific Association for Insurance Medicine in Flanders (WVV) are pleased to invite you to the EUMASS 2018 Congress and the Dutch International Congress on Insurance Medicine 2018, which will both take place in Maastricht, The Netherlands, from 4 to 6 October 2018.
2 EUMASS strives at congresses where themes on insurance medicine are being discussed from various international perspectives, wherever important and scientifically top rate developments take place. The EUMASS congress is one of the big international learning events in insurance medicine in Europe. Participants can learn and develop themselves by hearing about new developments, by presenting their own work to receive professional feed-back and by discussing numerous themes with presenters and other participants.
3 We hope to receive many abstracts for parallel sessions about research, education and practise in the different fields of insurance medicine. 4 Guidelines and the abstract submission tool are available on the congress webpages at Be sure to submit your abstract before the deadline of 31th January 2018. Accepted abstracts will be allocated to the appropriate scientific session. Notification of acceptance and instructions for oral or poster presentations will be sent by 1st March 2018 via e-mail. Presenting authors who are accepted should register and pay conference registration fees. All abstracts (oral and poster presentations) will be published in the conference programme book.
5 The 22nd EUMASS congress welcomes the submission of abstracts on the following themes: Sick leave certification Return-to-work Disability evaluation and management Work capacity in occupational diseases and employment injuries Monitoring health care E-health and telemedicine in insurance medicine Ethical dilemmas in insurance medicine Robotics and rehabilitation Big data Ageing working population Migration Interaction between healthcare and disability evaluation Abstracts are not limited to these themes.

General Information Congress language: The official language for the 22nd EUMASS congress will be English. Translation to French will be available.
