Separation: Synagogue and Church, Jew and Christian
Paul wrote letters, or epistles, to Christians throughout the Roman Empire. Scholars have used those letters, along with other New Testament writings, to trace changes in the relationship between Jews and early Christians. The Gospels , which are the fi rst four b ooks in the New Testament, describe Jesus’ life.
