7 The System shall include (2) end suction close coupled pump each rated _____GPM at _____TDH. Each pump shall be driven by a drip proof motor, _____HP,_____ phase, _____cycle, _____volts, _____RPM. Motors shall be provided with a service factor. The System shall be factory assembled on a steel base and include the following System components: Close coupled end suction pumps with 3 phase ODP motors. Individual (per pump) combination pressure regulating/check valves System temperature sensor and purge valve Bronze gate valves for suction and discharge connection of each pump Lead free copper manifolds Suction and discharge System pressure gauges Discharge manifold mounted System pressure switch 80 Gallon ASME rated cushion tank Duplex System Controller-UL-508 Individual fused disconnect switch for each pump Individual across the line type magnetic starters with overload protection Individual HOA selector switches Individual pump run lights Automatic lead/lag electric alternator Low suction pressure cut-off switch NEMA 1 Enclosure Options: (Not included in standard offering) Single disconnect switch in lieu of individual switches.

8 High System pressure alarm and shut off. High suction pressure alarm and shut-off Additional audible alarms. Dry contacts for remote indication of alarm conditions. Building Management connections TEFC Motors or other enclosures NEMA 4 or other NEMA rated Enclosure. Larger Cushion Tank (80 Gallon is standard). Stainless Steel trimmed pressure reducing valves ASME Code Cushion Tank System shall be constructed in accordance with SDWA requirements as amended . Sequence of Operation: Upon drop in System set point pressure, the cushion tank will provide pressurized water to the System and initiate the lead pump once System pressure drops below the set point. Lead pump will continue operation and satisfy System pressure and flow requirements. Lead pump will operate until such time that the pressure regulating valve closes and directs the flow and pressure to the cushion tank.

9 The cushion tank, once filled and pressured, will terminate lead pump operation at the given set point. Lead and lag pumps will alternate every 24 hours. If lead pump cannot satisfy System demands, the lag pump will start and work in parallel with the lead pump until such time that System pressure is satisfied and terminate lag pump operation. In the event the suction pressure drop below a pre-set condition (low suction pressure), the low suction pressure switch will terminate all pump operation and sound an alarm horn and light signaling low suction pressure. System shall be a factory assembled and tested water Booster System as manufacturered by Federal Pump Corp.
