Magnanimity of mind has always been accompanied by the benevolence of heart. Buddha, Tagore, all noble souls have found eternal peace and happiness in the service of others.

2 Their lives inspire all to be the torch bearer for serving devoted life of our great scholar and reformer Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviyaji inspires us to give shape to this social, voluntary movement called SEVAARTH which shall seek to Aid, Aware and , as students of management realise the importance of planning, organizing, controlling and co-0ordinating for bringing about a positive change . But what change is positive until it is in the service to brethren!Therefore we channelize our efforts to make existence beautiful for every soul in every fraternity of FMS-BHU takes pride in announcing the birth of its social service club SEVAARTH on the 12th of September, 2009, under the SPECIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM(SAP) sponsored by UGC for the welfare of the of Management Studies, BHUPage 2 CONVOCATION ADDRESS OF MALVIYAJI ON 14TH DECEMBER 1929.

3 We expect you to devote as much of your time and energy as you can spare to the upliftment of your humble brethren. We expect you to work in the midst, to share their sorrows and their joys, to strive to make their lives happier in every way you can. (An excerpt) SEVAARTH SEVAARTH : RAISING THE CURTAIN! A short inaugural function marked the embarkment of SEVAARTH on 12th Sept., inauguration was done by Honourable Prof. , Vice-Chancellor, Banaras Hindu University . He released the leaflets of SEVAARTH that briefly describes its genesis and objectives.

4 Prof. D. P. Singh appreciated the step taken by the faculty for serving the humanity under the banner of SEVAARTH . Prof. Singh emphasized on the social responsibility of a citizen and said that if we keep working together ,success would be ours one hum honge kamayab ek din . Prof. Deepak Barman, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies welcomed the distinguished guests, faculty and students. Prof. , Coordinator, SAP talked about the purpose and relevance of SEVAARTH and told about the importance of social entrepreneurs. The program was coordinated by Prof. H. P. Mathur. Prof.

Singh proposed the formal vote of of Management Studies, BHUPage 3 SEVAARTH THE FIRST STEP: Blood Donation Camp SEVAARTH came to life with a blood donation camp as its first initiative in the faculty premises on the inaugural day itself. There was great enthusiasm among not only students but also all faculty members and non-teaching camp was organised under the banner of SIR SUNDERLAL Hospital with all aid and equipments. Dr. Gupta, Incharge, Blood Bank , IMS, BHU supervised the blood donation .
