( A1, A2 A3) Are there company standing orders/fleet instructions on navigational procedures? Is passage planning undertaken? Is the vessel s position fixed /checked at appropriate intervals? Are there any written Master s Standing Orders? Is the Master s Night Order Book filled in regularly as required?

9 Are log books properly maintained? Are bilge and tank soundings regularly recorded, preferably on a daily basis? Is there an approved stability booklet on board? If not, is there a working copy ? Is there evidence that the vessel s stability was calculated on previous voyages and during critical periods during cargo operations? Do Senior Officers show sufficient familiarisation with the vessel s stability requirements including FSE? Is the vessel free of any conditions of class or any other defects raised by Certifying Authority?
